What better way to greet October than an annual face-off between the Holderness Bulls and the KUA Wildcats? KUA Day is an annual event where Holderness and KUA athletic teams meet to compete. On October 4th, 2019, class schedules were altered, meals were gobbled, and spirit was pumped for an action-packed afternoon on Holderness’s home fields.

Holderness suffered three defeats, with Boys’ Varsity Soccer (0-2), Girls’ Varsity Soccer (0-1), and Junior Varsity Mountain Biking. Additionally, the Bulls went on to have two ties in Junior Varsity Field Hockey (0-0) and Boys’ Junior Varsity 1 Soccer (1-1). Finally, the Bulls brought home an astonishing six wins: Varsity Field Hockey (3-0), Girls’ Junior Varsity Soccer (3-2), Boys’ Junior Varsity 2 Soccer (2-0), Boys’ Cross-Country, Girls’ Cross-Country, and Varsity Mountain Biking. These results propelled Holderness to a comfortable victory over KUA. It was a great day to be a Bull!

As an added bonus, Varsity Football defeated Kent’s Hill  29-20.

It was a magical moment for everyone as the sidelines were jam-packed with roaring crowds of students, parents, and teachers – and not just from Holderness. And, of course, school pride brought a smile to everyone when the crowd was infected by the Holderness blue we’ve all grown to love. Roll Bulls!
